The tableau includes representations of works by artists On Kawara, Joseph Kosuth, Art and Language, Hans Haacke and others. The figures of Kevin and Jennifer appear in multiple at different stages of their date. Live video cameras capture images of these tableaux, which are then edited into an endlessly looping video and displayed on the adjacent monitor. The soundtrack recreates the audio from Bruce Nauman’s DEAD, a violin playing four simple notes in succession.
